I tried this place after seeing the burrata pizza all over Instagram. After coming back from Italy, I’ve been obsessed with burrata. I’ve always loved all kinds of cheeses but right now I’m in a burrata phase, I think you can tell if you look at my Instagram! Anyway, we stopped by the restaurant after a Broadway show. We saw the Book of Mormon, it was absolutely hilarious, but not for the faint of heart. Macchina was nice and quiet at the time. The bar and restaurant area were cute, modern and nicely lit. The restaurant is good for a casual date night, or dinner with friends/family.

We ordered the veal and pork meatballs with crushed tomato, pecorino, and basil. The meatballs were tender, and the sauce had a nice flavor. It was served with bread so that you can eat all the yummy sauce left over. Then we had to order the burrata pizza for dinner! It was the perfect margarita pizza, with a nice piece of creamy burrata in the center. I would definitely order it again; it lived up to the hype for me. I also ordered the stay cool cocktail – it has citrus vodka, Cointreau, cucumber, citrus, mint and rosemary. It tastes like summer in a glass! Sparkle rating: 9 out of 10 – It was a great restaurant and I would definitely visit again!
