Bowery Bar and Fare

I live in Long Island, in a town that’s on the border of Queens and Long Island. If I’m really hungry or if I need to get something quick, I can’t always head to the city for dinner. This restaurant is located in Rockville Centre, which is close to me. When I first heard of it, I was extremely excited! The thought of a new bar/restaurant with a carnival theme sounded super appealing to me. I went in there really wanting to love it so that it could become a new spot for me...

The décor was nice, and it wasn’t too much or corny at all. I like the vibe of the place, and everyone in there is super friendly. We sat at the bar, the cocktails were delicious and the bartender was very good at his job – he was attentive and good at making drink suggestions. For food, we ordered the Bao Street Tacos, Lamb Kebabs, and the Pepperoni Pizza Mac and Cheese. We weren’t crazy about any of them. The bao buns were super soft and had a soggy texture, the lamb kebabs were over cooked, and the mac and cheese was almost flavorless. I was bummed.

Due to the fact that it’s a new place, I still have hope! It has so much potential.
